Where is Miss Martha’s Cottage?

Miss Martha’s is situated in the  very heart of the picturesque, unspoilt, old fishing village of Polperro,

From the M5 to Polperro

Take the M5 south to Exeter, follow the signs for the A38 to Plymouth. Continue over the Royal Albert Bridge (between Plymouth and Saltash over the Tamar River) turn left on to the A374 for a few 100 metres, turn right on to the A387 to Looe. Filter left towards Looe on the A387 across the bridge towards Polperro.

When you arrive at Polperro

When you arrive at Polperro, turn left at the mini roundabout into The Combes. As you will quickly see, the roads become very narrow and during the day, the streets are often full of residents and visitors—so drive carefully.

As you drive down The Combes, you will eventually come to the Post Office, follow the road round to the right and Miss Martha’s Cottage is on you right.

To unload, park up at Big Green along side the open space along side Wesley House Gallery (Arts & Craft shop) and opposite Easy Street (fashion shop) and  Nelsons (Restaurant and Bistro).  To access the entrance, there is a low gate with the sign for Miss Martha’s Cottage.

As you climb a few steps, the main door is in front of you with access to the lounge.

Parking for Miss Martha’s Cottage.

To park, go to the end of Big Green and drive up Landavidy Lane, again be careful, the road is narrow with the occasional passing area if you meet oncoming traffic. Pass the British Legion (on the left) bear round to the left.  You will meet a residents parking area on the right (with lock up garages and open are parking) on the right.  At this point, on the left, you will see access to further parking through a covered drive way.  Drive through the archway and park in an available place.
